The Nakamura Keith Haring Collection took part in Tokyo Pride 2026, held on June 6–7.

🌈 Tokyo Pride is one of Japan’s largest LGBTQ+ events. First held in 1994, this year’s event was celebrated under the theme β€œA Future Opened by Diversity and Equality.” 🌈
In addition to exhibiting at a shared booth, the museum joined the Pride Parade as part of the β€œ#UpdateHIV” float organized by PLACE TOKYO and akta. ✨

An image of two embracing figures by Keith Haring was adopted as the symbol of β€œ#UpdateHIV,” and T-shirts featuring this image were created for the occasion. ❣️ Approximately 500 people joined the float, with many participants wearing the T-shirts as they marched through the streets of Shibuya and Harajuku under the β€œWE ARE POSITIVE” flag, promoting the importance of updating knowledge and understanding about HIV. ✨

We were grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many people throughout the event, making it two wonderful days filled with smiles, energy, and inspiration.
