LOCATION SERVICES

The Nakamura Keith Haring Collection accepts various types of location shoots, including still photography for magazines, advertisements, and fashion, as well as video productions and wedding photography.
Designed by renowned contemporary architect Atsushi Kitagawara, the museum is situated in the rich natural surroundings of Kobuchizawa at the southern foothills of Mt. Yatsugatake. The site offers a unique environment where architecture and nature are in harmony, allowing for shooting both inside and outside the museum.

We accept location photography and filming in various areas both inside and outside the museum.

Fees

Shooting fees are as follows:

During opening hours (9:00–17:00):

Inside the museum (including rooftop and courtyard):
¥88,000 (tax included)
Outside the museum:
¥55,000 (tax included)

Special rate:

Inside the museum (including rooftop and courtyard):
¥132,000 (tax included)
Outside the museum:
¥82,500 (tax included)

Special rates apply outside opening hours, on weekends and holidays, and during designated peak periods. Depending on the schedule, shooting content, and museum conditions, we may not be able to accommodate all requests.

Location Scouting (Recce)

Location scouting prior to shooting is available by advance reservation only.
If you wish to schedule a recce, please apply via the inquiry form.

・Up to 60 minutes: Free of charge
・Additional time: ¥11,000 (tax included) per 60 minutes

Application Process

If you wish to use the museum as a shooting location, please follow the steps below:
Applications must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the desired shooting date.

  1. Complete the Shooting Application Form

    Download and fill out the shooting application form (PDF) .

  2. Prepare a Proposal

    Please provide a proposal outlining the concept and details of the shoot.

  3. Submit Documents

    Send both the completed application form and proposal via the inquiry form.
    Our team will review your submission and contact you accordingly.

Please note that applications by phone are not accepted.

Notes / Terms of Use

  • The usage time must include setup and full dismantling. Fees will be charged based on the approved time, even if the shoot ends earlier.
  • Any actions that may damage artworks, buildings, or equipment are strictly prohibited.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the premises, including the parking area. If smoking is observed, shooting will be immediately terminated and future use may be denied.
  • Equipment and power sources may only be used if approved in advance.
  • Shooting involving sound (music playback, use of speakers, vocal performances, etc.) is not permitted.
  • Drone photography is not allowed.
  • Eating and drinking are not permitted inside the museum.
  • No dressing rooms are available.
  • No equipment rental services are provided.
  • Depending on the expected level of congestion, the number of participants may be restricted.

Copyright

If your shoot or project features works by Keith Haring as the main subject, permission from the Keith Haring Foundation may be required.

The Nakamura Keith Haring Collection does not hold the copyright to Keith Haring’s works. We only assess whether the location can be used based on the submitted application and proposal.

We are not involved in copyright clearance or permissions related to the artworks.
