This year’s Peace Month display has begun 🕊️

On view is Keith Haring’s poster created for HIROSHIMA ’88, a charity concert held in Hiroshima in 1988.
Also on view is a short film tracing Haring’s visit to Hiroshima, produced for our 2024 exhibition ”Keith Haring: Into 2025.”

After visiting the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum in July 1988, Haring wrote:

Who could ever want this to happen again? To anyone? The frightening thing is that people debate and discuss the arms race as if they were playing with toys.
